The Local Group presents: Uptown Artists' Revolution

Last night was so much fun! Fort Vine has been collaborating with our neighbor, Micah Henning, to put together a showcase of talented artists in Harlem on the first Thursday of the month. Our debut installment was held at The Chipped Cup last night - and it was a great success! We had three featured music acts: LTLT, Micah Henning, and Fort Vine, as well as one featured artist: Bruce Brackett. All of the musicians got together before the show and wrote a song called "All Our Friends", which we performed together as the finale of the night. This has now become the theme song for our project, and we intend to perform it at every show, with a different line-up of local musicians each month. Stay tuned for the release of "All Our Friends" as a downloadable single. Next month, (Thursday, May 7th) we will be hosting Uptown Artists' Revolution at Double Dutch Cafe on 118th st and Fredrick Douglas Blvd. We are still on the lookout for artists who are interested in performing at our next showcase. Please reach out to us if you, or someone you know, would like to play, or be our featured artist (painter/photographer/sculptor/etc). Email us at FORTVINEMUSIC@GMAIL.COM with a link to your music.
